Alkmaar requires a permit for a container on the public road.

Conditions

Verordening fysieke leefomgeving art. 2:1 forbids using a public place other than for its public function without a vergunning of the college; the explanatory notes state that moving containers and small containers for demolition waste need a vergunning even for a short period. No leges are charged for placing a waste or storage container for at most two days.

Ook voor het plaatsen van verhuiscontainers en kleine containers voor sloopafval tijdens een korte periode is een vergunning nodig.
